One~Day Ayurveda Retreat: Natural Wellness through Ancient Wisdom

One Day Ayurveda Retreat: Natural Wellness through Ancient Wisdom; open to 8-participants, is located within the comfortable space of Lifepath Yoga Center’s Springville Studio. Chairs will be available to sit on while learning about the ancient healing life-science of Ayurveda based on the elements of nature, and how it applies to your unique, personal Ayurvedic Constitution. Or, if you prefer, you may make yourself quite comfortable seated on yoga blankets and props while you’re engaged in learning. .
Each participant will have the opportunity to complete a questionnaire to determine their unique Ayurvedic Constitution (”dosha” in sanskrit).
Ayurveda Topics Include:
Fundamentals of Ayurveda: Explore the five elements and the three doshas.
Understanding Your Ayurvedic Constitution/Dosha: Gain insight into your unique constitutional makeup.
Managing Imbalances: Learn about imbalances related to each dosha.
Nutrition and Balance: Understand the six tastes and dietary guidelines to balance each dosha.
The Ayurveda Clock: Explore daily, seasonal, and life stage rhythms.
Explore Ayurvedic Lifestyle/Dinacharya Practices for maintaining balance.
~Morning lecture culminates in a 20-minute Qigong (energy practice), to revitalize followed by a 45-minute lunch break.
(Bring your own brown-bag lunch to eat at the studio or walk/drive to an area restaurant for a bite to eat. You may want to order ahead to save time).
There will be two-15 minutes breaks (am & pm) during the workshop. Nutritious snacks, water & tea provided. You may choose to bring a water bottle as well as your own snacks if you prefer.
Day ends with a Gentle Yoga & Mediation practice~please remember to bring your yoga mat.
This One-Day Ayurveda Retreat is for everyone but if you happen to be a Yoga Teacher: Approved for 5 Contact Continuing Education Hours through Yoga Alliance.
